Can you support one of the three themes for Knights Grange?

We are now looking for volunteers to join and support us to develop the three themes with their own ideas and passion.

Volunteers invited to join us now to develop and lead these groups!

Community Events

Our vision is to establish Knights Grange as a hub for all the Winsford community of all ages and to host annual events for all to take part in and enjoy, bringing us all once more, closer together and supporting each other.

We want to involve people from across the community in developing, championing and running events for us all to enjoy. Perhaps we can bring back the May Queen parades and dance troupes of yesteryear, picnics in the summer, making the circus a much-anticipated annual event and hosting dedicated community events.

We want to involve people from across the community in developing, championing and running events for us all to enjoy.

Health & Wellbeing

We aim to support activities which will promote community health and wellbeing; and also provide opportunities for meeting people. We aim to work closely with the health services, and council teams and involve local companies in sponsoring activities.

Initially we would like to link to existing activities and groups and via our website to provide a platform to reach more of the community.

Going forward we plan to engage with the community to explore opportunities for outdoor physical activity and exercise. This could include ideas for intergeneration groups and walking groups to meet, schools, and wellbeing groups.

Nature & Environment

We want to provide opportunities to explore, develop and protect the varied environment across the ex-golf course area. We will also link to the Whitegate way, the Ranger services, and the Mersey Forest to integrate with its development.

Initially we want to map what animals and plants are there, and where they are. This will be used to create an informative map of all the area.

Other ideas being explored include organised guided walks, establishing a community orchard and herb garden, and developing wild flower meadows.
